If you are over the age of 40, it is almost inevitable that you will be in need of cardio Klenz… well that is the way I interpreted Xtra Life’s web page for their cardio Klenz product. I couldn’t help wondering if this was fact or hype. I don’t have a medical background, but I am quite good at digging stuff out. This is what I turned up.

•       Can gradually break down plaque in arteries, and then safely dispose of it.
•       Can reduce the aggregation of platelets in the blood
•       Can smooth the interior of the arteries, so that blood flow is improved
•       Can stabilize blood pressure
•       Can increase Antioxidant protection (this inhibits free radical damage)
•       Can reduce the build up of calcium
•       Can decrease homocysteine toxicity
•       Can balance LDL and triglyceride levels
•       Can increase circulatory strength as well as heart muscle function

• A range of amino acids in the right proportions and the right type
• Additional enzymes for better nutrient absorption
• A broad range of herbal extracts with compatible properties
• Speciality nutrients…vinpocetine, policosanol, alpha lipoic acid etc
• Methylating agents…Betaine HCL etc
• The correct form of minerals for the objectives
• The correct form of Vitamins in the right amounts

 
So is Cardio Klenz really any good?

When Xtend Life Natural Products claims that they produce ‘one of the purest and most uniquely beneficial fish oil Supplements known to man’, I sit up straight and take attention.  This review will be my attempt to provide the facts about Omega 3 / DHA Fish Oil from Xtend Life.

My findings are below.

What is Omega 3 / DHA Fish Oil?

It is fish oil that is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids especially DocasaHexaenoic Acid (DHA).  It is available as a Supplement, is known to have cardiovascular benefits, and is very good for stimulating brain function.  It is also known to be effective against a number of allergies, as well as Arthritis and gout.  There are lots of other benefits which space prevents me from listing.

What are the ingredients of Omega 3 / DHA Fish Oil?

Omega 3 / DHA Fish Oil contains at least 50% Omega 3.  The main Omega 3 components are DHA, EPA and DPA in decreasing order of quantity.  It also contains Omega 6 and Omega 9 plus Natural Mixed Tocopherols and Rosemary Extract.

There are no additives or flavours contained in the product.

We have a child who has ASD. Within 3 weeks of her taking 2 Omega 3/DHA Fish Oil Esters per day she settled down and is able to ‘think clearly’ (her words). Is Multi Xtra Any Good?

Xtend Life, the manufacturer of Multi Xtra claim that it ‘is probably the best multi vitamin/mineral Supplement in the world’.  They go further to claim that it ‘undoubtedly provides the best value for money available anywhere’.

So what have we here?  One confident company, and two lofty claims.  I think it’s about time someone looked beyond the hype to see if Multi Xtra actually delivers on these claims.
